Last week, Cirdan was delighted to join ABHI for its second major US trade mission visit to Tennessee, visiting Nashville and Memphis from 25th-29th July. We were delighted to join over 20 UK Healthtech Innovators to strengthen trade links and showcase our latest products and innovations, which are enhancing clinical laboratory workflows across the globe, to healthcare leaders in Tennessee.

Over the week, we enjoyed participating in meetings with senior leaders from hospital systems, group purchasing organisations (GPOs), alongside development agencies, investors and procurement teams across Nashville and Memphis. Our team met with some of the largest Healthcare providers in the US, including the senior leadership teams from Lifepoint Health, HCA Healthcare, Le Bonheur Children’s and Ascension Saint Thomas Hospitals, as well as networking with officials from the Nashville and Memphis Chambers of Commerce.

The mission provided a perfect opportunity to understand the size and scale of the local Tennessee Healthcare market and its wider national impact. Tennessee is a major centre for healthcare in the US, with over 55% of private hospital beds being managed from there and is the largest national hub for medical device shipments.

Philip Moore, Head of Sales for Cirdan, commented, “The visit to Tennessee was a fantastic week and very well organised by the team at ABHI! We are grateful to be part of the US Accelerator programme, as it provides a unique opportunity for British companies to develop an understanding of the US Healthcare system and to gain vital insights and make important connections with the right stakeholders.”

We look forward to participating in the next trade mission visit with ABHI to the state of California, where we will visit Los Angeles and San Francisco from 12th-16th September.
