Tony Carter began his journey with Cirdan, in June 2023, as UK Regional Sales and Delivery Manager. Since then, he has worked on diverse projects, dedicated to enhancing the sales and delivery of ULTRA. His role involves engaging with potential and existing clients, overseeing the ULTRA delivery and installation processes, all while playing a pivotal role in a sales team dedicated to understanding and serving the unique needs of healthcare environments.

Amidst the busyness of sales, Tony finds excitement in connecting with laboratory professionals. His personal experience in the lab fosters a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with these experts, discussing their work, and delving into the latest advancements in laboratory medicine. It is his favourite aspect of his current role, one that keeps him deeply involved in the evolving landscape of technology and innovation within the field.

Aside from his busy role in sales, Tony enjoys travel and reading, as well as travel to anywhere with a scenic beach or a spot for a countryside stroll!

We caught up with Tony to get a deeper insight into the daily life of a Regional Sales and Delivery Manager at Cirdan, and how Cirdan forms an integral part of his busy life.

What activities does your job involve on a daily basis?

As a Sales and Delivery Manager, my day can differ from one day to the next. Typically, a day for me may revolve around reaching out to potential clients about ULTRA, talking to current customers and managing the delivery and installation of ULTRA. Emails and virtual meetings via Teams are integral parts of our sales process which I use every day.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

What I like the most about my job is engaging with laboratory staff, delving into their work, and exploring the changing landscape of laboratory medicine. Coming from a lab background, staying updated with the industry’s advancements truly fascinates me and I’m so glad that I get to do this ever day as part of my job!

How do you spend your time outside of work?

I really enjoy travel and reading. I love walking by the beach. Growing up amidst London’s bustling cityscape, the countryside has recently captivated me, an interest instilled by my kids. I enjoy visiting the countryside of the North Norfolk coast and spending time at the surfing club. A bit of everything, really!

What are you most passionate about?

I’m deeply passionate about contributing to a better and safer future for the upcoming generation in terms of environmental sustainability, healthcare, and societal well-being, and being part of Cirdan helps me do this every day!
